Abstract Watercolour wash - *LIVE video

A post from todays live stream.

Welcome and thank you for being here,

This was an impromtu live strwam as I wanted to recreate an abstract I did with

recently. I taped to the wrong size as I wanted it to fit in a certain frame with a ready made mount. I have a matt cutter to make my own but thought I would try it again as I enjoyed doing it and like the finished piece.

The inspiration for this comes from some of the many photographs I take around Cornwall. I made a ‘mood board’ and used a palette creator online to give me colour ideas. Coolors

I tried some of my materials to check the colours out and how they work together.

Materials:

Watercolour W&N and Rosa
Water colour pencils - Faber Castell Albrecht Durer
Saunders Waterford, 300gsm Cold press NOT
Gouche Schimke white
Fude nib black pen with Rotring ink
Salt

This was the finished piece before flattening and framing 12 x 12” in a 16 x 16” frame
